Tools Intern New York
Nodejitsu has built out a substantial infrastructure to help our users build and administer Node.js clouds anywhere. Our distributed team and large dependency tree of open-source projects create unique problems. As a tools intern, you will work with the entire Nodejitsu team to build and deliver unique Node.js solutions to help solve these problems.
What you'll Learn
- How to spec, develop, and test end-to-end Node.js applications
- How to improve development workflow and process through tooling
- Best practices for writing Node.js code, documentation, and tests
- A truly unique understanding of open-source community and branding
Responsibilities
- Gather requirements and write specifications for new tools to support Nodejitsu processes: both internal and open-source
- Develop, test, and document tools to support Nodejitsu processes
Requirements
- High aptitude for self-management
- Experience using Git and GitHub
- Experience with HTML5 and CSS3
- 1-year of Node.js or Javascript programing experience
- Availability to report on-site in New York City, or San Francisco
Preferred
- Experience building end-to-end Node.js applications
- Published open-source Node.js modules
- Active member of the Node.js community
